How to play Number Wall
Number Wall is a memory game. A wall of two-digit numbers appears for a short time. Then it goes blank, and you have to say where each number was.
How a day works
- You get four walls: 2 by 2 with single digits, 2 by 2 with two-digit numbers, 3 by 3 with single digits and 3 by 3 with two-digit numbers. Everyone gets the same walls that day.
- Press Show the wall. The numbers appear and a timer bar runs down. Tap I’m ready if you want to move on early.
- The wall goes blank and you are shown a number. Tap the square where it was.
- On the 2 by 2 walls you are asked about 2 numbers. On the 3 by 3 walls you are asked about 4 numbers. A right tap turns the square green and shows its number. A wrong tap flashes red and shows nothing, so you never get a free hint. At the end you see the whole wall.
Study time
You get 3 seconds for the first wall, 4 for the second, 6 for the third and 8 for the fourth. Every number on a wall is different, so there is only one right square for each.
Scoring
- Every wall is worth 100 points. On the 2 by 2 walls each right square is worth 50. On the 3 by 3 walls each is worth 25.
- A perfect day is 400. Higher is better. The leaderboard shows the highest scores first.
Leaderboard and accounts
You can play without an account, and your score still counts toward the daily percentile. To appear on the leaderboard, sign in or create a free Figure Fruit account. The same account works in every Figure Fruit game. The daily puzzle changes at midnight US Eastern time. Practice days are unlimited and never count.
Tips
- Don’t try to hold every number. Pick the ones that stand out, like repeated digits (44) or runs (56).
- Link numbers to places: “top-left corner is 73”. Corners and edges are easier to recall.
- Group numbers into pairs or rows in your head, and say them quietly.
