Figure Fruit

How to play Over / Under

Every day brings four questions, and each one gets harder than the last. Each question shows a number, called the line, and asks whether the real answer is over or under it. For example: “Does an earthworm have over or under 3 hearts?”

One slider does two jobs

You get one slider with a hexagon handle. Drag it left for under or right for over. Where you stop is also your estimate of the real number: the farther you slide, the bigger (or smaller) your guess. The number under your handle shows exactly what you are guessing.

When you are happy with your guess, press Lock it in.

How scoring works

The four levels

LevelWhat to expect
1 · Warm-upThe line is far from the real answer. Easy to pick a side, so the points are in your estimate.
2 · TrickyThe line moves closer to the truth.
3 · ToughThe line is close, so you really have to know your facts.
4 · BrutalThe line is very close to the real answer. Choosing the right side takes real knowledge or a great guess.

Each level has its own category, such as animals, space, history, food or geography, so you never get four of the same kind in one day. After every question you see the real answer and a surprising fact about it.

Your result

After level 4 you see your total score out of 1,000, how each level went, and a percentile showing how you compare with everyone who played that day. You can copy a short result to share without giving away any answers.

Practice rounds

Want to warm up? Try a practice round. It uses random questions, you can play as many as you like, and nothing is saved or counted.

Leaderboard and accounts

You can play without an account, and your score still counts toward the daily percentile. To appear on the leaderboard, sign in or create a free Figure Fruit account. The same account works in every Figure Fruit game. The daily puzzle changes at midnight US Eastern time, and everyone gets the same questions.

Found a mistake?

After each question there is a Report a mistake link. We check every report and remove questions that are wrong.
